New business development role added to team to extend member services
GCF is responding to increasing interest in, and demand for, its certification services by expanding its core team in readiness for 2023. As part of the investment in the organisation’s resources, GCF has appointed Carlos Pedraz Rodríguez in the role of Head of Business Development.
The requirements of the mobile communications industry are continuing to evolve as smart technologies are adopted throughout many industries and verticals. In this newly created role, Carlos will be closely involved in helping to develop existing and new services for GCF members both in its traditional and emerging sectors.
Carlos is a telecom engineer with more than 20 years of experience in the sector, mostly with Telefonica. He has worked in technical and management roles related to the market introduction of mobile and IoT devices, technologies and services, in both network operator and global business units.
During his time with Telefonica, Carlos Pedraz also served as a member of the GCF Board of Directors. As a result, he has a detailed understanding of the operations of GCF and joins with a clear vision of how the organisation can continue to develop to serve the existing and emerging needs of the mobile communications sector.
Carlos has also completed an Executive Management Program at IESE Business School.
