Moving certification forward for mission critical products

GCF TCCA joint webinar

WEBINAR ON DEMAND

GLOBAL CERTIFICATION FORUM AND TCCA WEBINAR – MOVING CERTIFICATION FORWARD FOR MISSION CRITICAL PRODUCTS

This joint webinar gives an update on  progress made so far by the Joint Task Force for mission-critical (MC) product certification that was established in January this year. Work has been ongoing to assess the possibility for a certification scheme based on prioritising industry requirements and completion of a gap analysis of frequency bands and mission-critical functionalities against current available processes in GCF.

The on-demand webinar provides a detailed summary of progress to date and encourage the mission critical industry to come forward and participate in development of mission-critical-push-to-talk (MCPTT) field trials as well as provide input into a certification programme for the end to end interoperability and security of MC products, applications, services and networks.

“Our Joint Task Force was created from a need within the MC industry for a formal certification and interoperability testing process to ensure compliance to standards,” said Chris Hogg, Head of Certification for 5G at GCF and Co-Chair of the GCF-TCCA Joint Task Force. “We have made significant progress in the past six months and are now ready to engage with all stakeholders in mission critical services so that we can shape the development of the industry together and provide end users with a seamless service.”

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has contributed to the Joint Task Force work – the outcomes are testament to the commitment of the volunteers and to the importance that the market has placed on this initiative,“ said Harald Ludwig, Chair of TCCA’s Technical Forum and Co-Chair of the GCF-TCCA Joint Task Force.
