In collaboration with COAI, GCF will hold a one-day workshop “Building a Foundation for Quality Devices with 5G Certification" on 15 May 2018.
Building on the successful prior GCF COAI workshops in Mumbai, Bengaluru and New Delhi, this workshop will focus more on the activities taking place to extend the GCF certification scheme to incorporate 5G radio, applications & services, and open the discussion with participants on the specific needs of the Indian mobile industry with respect to 5G and IoT.
Participants will have an opportunity to understand the global efforts underway to ensure a smooth transition from 4G to 5G and participate interactively on how device certification can address many of the challenges and issues that may come with big data and support of key 5G applications and services, such as subscription management using eSIM, Mission Critical Communications, and Mobile Edge Computing.
